Exploring the Domain with Delphine

Today was an absolute scorcher in Sydney. It was a combination of high humidity, glaring sunlight, and lack of cooling winds that made today a necessity for some exploration, and a couple glasses of apple cider. Sydney is a great place to be, and since the government has invested millions in building social infrastructure there are always new places to discover.

I wore the "Keep in Line" skirt in beige by Delphine the Label. It is part of the Sweet Like Me collection and is perfect for hot days like this because of its soft pleats, and full flared silhouette which billows around you when you walk down stairs. And oh, it make you feel like a princess when it billows!

Now this post will be fairly short as a photo speaks a thousand words (and who really wants to write that much on a hot day like this?!). Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy these photos and maybe find time to visit them yourselves someday.

1. The Royal Botanic Gardens - $0 entrance

Free to enter, with free tours! They have beautiful gardens full of brightly coloured flora, with large trees to rest underneath for a picnic, or a quiet read. The Royal Botanic Gardens in the domain is a prime spot for romantic weddings as it overlooks the castle known as the Australian Institute of Music, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is a well known haunt for lovers, where you can dedicate a park bench for a period of ten years.

2. The Art Gallery of NSW

The Art Gallery of NSW has been somewhere I regularly attended during high school. I went to a performing arts high school so I would visit it for inspiration for my major HSC works for drama, visual arts, and music. For those who don't know what the HSC is, it is the series of exams that senior students in New South Wales must take to graduate. There's plenty of free exhibitions that will leave you in awe of the mastery of artists. The temporary exhibition that really caught my eye this visit was Lost Lot by Eko Bugroho due to its vibrant colours, political tone that is relevant in the recent political news that has shocked the world.

Which of these two places would you prefer to visit?
