Sleep Amongst Botanics Suite Review at West Hotel Sydney

My husband, and I have been spending our weekend on a stayacation at the West Hotel in Sydney in the Sleep Amongst Botanics suite.

What is the Sleep Amongst Botanics suite?

The Sleep Amongst Botanics suite is a limited edition collaboration between West Hotel, and textile duo Bonnie and Neil with floral stylists The Hunted Yard.

Commencing in December 2018, the Sleep Amongst Botanics suite closes its doors on January 11th 2019 so I’m so honoured to be one of the first guests invited to stay here!

We called ahead at 1pm if our room was ready despite the normal 3pm checkin since we had finished errands, and thankfully the room was ready. All we had to do was sign some paperwork, and leave a card with the $50 refundable downpayment in case of accidentals. We were given our room cards, tapped in at the elevator, and made our way to the sixth floor where the suite was located.

As we opened our door we were invited in by a summery scent from the room diffuser. To the left was the closet, Bimini bar, kettle, and a Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules.

To the right was the door into the bathroom with a spacious shower, fluffy robes, and warm towels.

In the centre of the suite was the large, king bed adorned with multiple floral throw cushions, and leaf print throw, and a large overhanging floral canopy that overlooked the bed.

On each side of the bed was a bedside table with a charging station, room service menus, and phone straight to concierge.

By the window was a writing desk wth a letter addressed to me, and a little goodie box with some skincare from Biology, and a seat with ottoman facing the large LG tv

Comfort

One of the worst parts of blogging about my travels, or even food is the wait between capturing the perfect shots before getting to enjoy the moment. After a long day of running errands around the city, the bed at West Hotel was so enticing that when we finally got to take a nap after the photos were done it was like sleeping on the soft cloud. We removed the decorative throw cushions, and blanket in favour of the soft, white linens.

The floral canopy overhead acted like a work of art lulling us into a springtime dream.

Location

Overlooking Barangaroo, the West Hotel is a short walk from the Sydney CBD, Circular Quay, and Darling Harbour making it a perfect spot for tourists. Despite the prime location, it is not overrun by screaming children, or hoards of tourists. Instead when checking in, or walking around the hotel, we’ve only encountered couples in love, or business men.

Parking

There is no hotel parking but right opposite of West Hotel is Wilson’s Parking on Sussex Street which the hotel can offer a cheaper rate when you provide your parking ticket.

Customer Service

A big thank you so the amazing staff at West Hotel for the invitation, and also the impeccable hospitality shown to my husband, and I during our stay! They were always eager to help us, and offered recommendations on restaurants to try, and places to go while we stayed there.
