No time for time-wasters

"Do a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life."

Right now, that's exactly the kind of life I am living. As I have said on, and on again, I love my job. I love the company. I love the work culture. I am genuinely happy to go to work, especially with my Daniel Wellington on my wrist!

The only problem is time.

The older I get, the more I value my time, and see the value in my time. It wasn't that when I was younger I was careless. It's just I am now more concerned with how people use my time.

Thankfully, I work in an advertising agency where people are passionate with what they do, and have habitual prioritisation. Everyone has a goal, has a drive, and has a clear way they're going.

I guess that's why I've been spending more time with those in advertising agencies, or relevant jobs. Common interests, common goals, no time for time wasters.

Alas, back at the important topic of today: time.

Value your time. If you value your time, you value yourself. You may be busy, but do your work. You may be tired, but exercise. You may be craving foods packed with artificial sweeteners, grab an apple.

Remember that you are supposed to be the hero in your life, not the victim. Don't leave space for toxic people, and especially don't let others bring you down with negative speech.

People can only stab your back as they're behind you. And I've learnt that. I know I'm not at the peak of my career, or my life. I know I'm not in a CEO position, or even in my dream position yet. But I've worked hard to be where I am, and have had an old friend throw shade.

And I was like that too. But I've spent years working through my problems as bitching about someone is drinking poison, hoping they'll be the one poisoned (psst it's just you)!

Don't let your time be wasted on people who don't value your time as an opportunity to raise you both up.

Use your time wisely, as you'll never get back those moments.

To commemorate this post, I've teamed up with Daniel Wellington for this post, and two Instagram posts.

You can get 15% off a Daniel Wellington watch using my code 'BERNICE15' at the register! My exact watch I'm wearing is the Classic Sheffield Lady in Black and Silver.
