Ocinium - Luxury Skincare Review

As my readers all know, I have a regimented skincare routine of several products that I perform daily, and have a weekly home facial, and then a monthly professional facial. I’m a firm believer that if we take care of our skin while we’re young, we will reap the youthful benefits when we’re older.

So back in December, I thought I would try the luxury skincare range Ocinium.

What is Ocinium?

Ocinium is an Australian, luxury skincare range known for their luxurious black packaging, and organic ingrediants, and stellar formulas that are light on the skin, but heavy with benefits. Their products are quite pricey, with lip balm starting at $34 but the benefits do outnumber the price tag in my opinion.

Ocinium’s skincare was created with the purpose of using “organic, natural and bio-active ingredients to assist women in effortlessly achieving healthy and age defiant skin.”

Bam.

With a single line they drew me in. Their websites boasts that their products are unparalleled in the skincare industry for providing skin the “vital protection, repair and regenerative processes” that we so (desperately) need.

I’ve tried my fair share of skincare products as both a blogger, and as a person who proactively tries maintain my good skin so I wanted to give Ocinium a good run before I wrote my review.

My Skin, And The Weather

Firstly, I am so thankful to not have problematic skin. I have an even complexion, very rarely have dark eye circles, my skin is super tight, and I hardly get pimples. I exercise daily for about 1-2 hours, do a solid 1 hour of HIIT (High intensity interval training) daily, and drink enough water to drown someone. And of course, I love my skincare routines.

But as Summer in Sydney is always brutally hot, what better time to test a new skincare range on my skin?!

What Did I Test?

For full disclosure, I was gifted the Ecdysis Bio-Ferment Enzyme Cleanse, Metamorphis Multi-Vitamin Cream, Luxe Lip Balm, and Immortelle Serum.

My Feedback

Before I go into my feedback for each product, as a blanket statement all of their products contains absolutely no Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Glycols, Silicones, and have not been tested on animals.

This multivitamin cream contains numerous antioxidants that are included to stimulate your natural collagen production, and promote cell renewal so your fine lines are reduced, and your skin looks supple. I found this multivitamin cream to REALLY moisturise my skin so it always felt hydrated. While I did feel my skin was getting that extra dosage of hydration it needed in hot weather, it didn’t leave my skin feeling heavy, or puffy which I have witnessed using some other dupes.

Designed to gently remove skin impurities like makeup, or environmental grime, this cleanser maintains the hydration in your skin by not having harmful ingredie nts, nor is it abrasive to your skin. Advertised to be very gentle on your skin, and it was incredibly gentle. Maybe because my cleansers are all really potent, I didn’t feel like this removed my makeup that easily so I first used makeup remover, then used the cleanser. As for maintaining moisture, it was excellent!

This serum was honestly a life saver while I was in Queensland. Our group of 5 couples stayed in a 10 person/5 bedroom Airbnb in the Whitsundays where we spent the week lounging in the pool, making a mess in the kitchen, and drinking. It was easily over 35 degrees Celsius every day, and the sun blaring on our skin. But the Immortelle Serum had my back! Infused with niacin-amide, it provided my skin the daily TLC it needed after sun exposure to reduce the redness in my cheeks, and plump up my skin when dried from being in the pool.

I have honestly never considered getting a luxurious lip balm because I use lip balm like crazy. I never really considered how vastly different lip balms could be. The Luxe Lip Balm has a slightly oily finish on your lips that takes a few moments to soak in fully but when it does, oh boy. Your lips will be so plump, hydrated, and kissable.
