Cosy Bedding Is a Family Essential
I’m a lover of cosy bedding, and cuddling in bed with my husband, son, and our dogs - yes we love our dogs sleeping at the foot of the bed!
We generally use tencel sheets but have added a new set into the mix: Weave Home’s 100% European linen.

The Quality of Weave Home’s European Linen Bedding
I chose the colour ‘bone’ which complements the minimalist, neutral vibe of our bedroom which is predominately wooden furniture, and a boucle bed base.
The bedding itself is made of 100% premium European Linen which means it is breathable, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulating. This means it stays cool in heat, and warm in the cold; perfect for Australia’s seasons! European linen is made of flax fibres usually from Belgium or France due to their favourable growing conditions in those countries.
Why European Linen Gets Better With Time
One reason I love European linen is that is actually stronger than cotton so more durable, and softens with every wash. This is because washing linen agitates by swelling the fibres slightly, and relaxes the fibres when dried so they align more loosely over time. As European linen doesn’t have synethic coatings like polyester or treated cotton, it just improves in appearance whereas the other fabrics can look more dull.

Attention to Detail: French Seams
The detailing in bedding, and even clothing, are especially important factors in determining if it is a good purchase for the price. The Weave Home bedding has a sophisticated French seam detail which means the raw fabric edges have been enclosed in a double-stitched seam. This makes it look cleaner due to no exposed threads, and is more durable than the typical single seam found for cheaper, or lesser made bedding.

Soft From the Start: Aero Finished Linen
What gives the Weave Home European linen that extra dash of luxury is that its aero finished which is a mechanical process that softens the fabric by blasting it with air. So unlike cheaper bedding that uses chemical softeners, it doesn’t leave a residue or worse, weaken the fibres. So when you unpack your bedding is already feels relaxed, not crisp, and easier to drape across your bed until your next sleep.
