This year we launched our first Airbnb in NSW’s Hunter Valley called Leon’s at Hunter Valley. It’s a beautiful 4 bedroom home that sleeps 8 people, and is just 10 minutes from the nearest wineries like Peterson House, Brokenwood, and Bimbadgen.
I curated all the pieces in the home from the furniture, rugs, serveware, and the plants.
I wanted everything to be comfortable, cosy yet also luxurious, and spacious. This was especially important for the beds, and sofas.
Choosing a Lounge Lovers sofa
Leon’s at Hunter Valley has two living rooms: one is an entertainment room so has boardgames, arcade machines, and a sofa. The other is the main living room which has a large tv, and even larger sofa.
I’d been eyeing the Long Beach Corner Sofa from Lounge Lovers for quite some time as I’d seen it on Pinterest, and Instagram. While originally was going to be purchased for our home when we first moved in, it was out of budget at the time as we were working entry level office jobs at 22 years old.
But for the Airbnb we bit the bullet, and finally theLong Beach Corner Sofa was ours!
How was the Lounge Lovers delivery?
When we first received our delivery on May 11 they gave us two of the same corner sections so they obviously couldn’t join together. It was a pity because we had paid for handymen to help assemble all the furniture for the whole house, move the furniture around, and pack away the packaging.
We hadn’t received any response by May 19 so follow ups were sent out, including to the courier company.
By May 31st, the incorrect pieces had been picked up, the new/correct piece had been delivered, and the living room was finally nearly finished.
Are Lounge Lovers sofas comfortable?
Yes! Our Long Beach Corner Sofa is unbelievably comfortable, and a perfect place to have an afternoon nap or a movie snuggle. The seat depth is 111cm, and chaise is 215cm long so a decent space for the whole family, your friends, or whomever is there with you.
How is the quality of Lounge Lovers sofas?
You can tell that it’s a high quality sofa. The sofa is made with fluffy, feather filled cushions, and the fabric is a polyester, linen blend. You really sink into the sofa like you’re floating on a cloud, and there’s none of that revolting plastic crinkle you hear when sitting on a cheap sofa.
We've been booked out each weekend, and some weekdays since launching in August, and the sofa has held up in terms of comfort, colour, and fluffiness.
