I’ve been on the hunt for a new bed base for our home (4 bedrooms) for some time now, and I wanted something that could serve as another spare bedroom until my son (currently 16 months) wanted to move into his own room.
Our home is organic modern in style with lots of natural materials like timber, and marble. Our colour palette throughout the home is warm white, warm browns, matte black, and there’s an abundance of real plants.
I wanted a bed base that would be timeless, not creak, matched the home décor, but also could work with whatever bedroom theming my son might one day desire eg dinosaurs, cars, Disney etc.
So that’s why we landed on the Seneca bed base in Sandy White.
What is Luxo Living?
Luxo Living is an affordable furniture, and bedding store that operates from Wetherill Park in NSW. They are one stop shop for furnishing your home because you can get sofas, beds, mattress, sheets, tables, outdoor furniture, and even saunas!
There are so many online furniture stores in Australia but many have a limit of how many returns per household but also returning furniture is such a hassle. I love that they have physical showroom so you can visit in person to check the comfort levels but also double check that the colour, and look matches their online store.
When furnishing our Airbnb we actually visited the Wetherill Park showroom because we needed to ensure the colours of what we were buying matched the colour palette of the property since our core audience are bridal parties in the Hunter Valley.
How is the Luxo Living delivery like?
Luxo Living calculates your shipping costs based on the total weight, and volume of the order, and your delivery suburb. They can delivery anywhere in Australia that is accessible by roads but not to PO boxes.
When our order was ready to be shipped I received an SMS with some delivery date options. As I work from home full time (marketing role in an agency) I picked the nearest weekday which was a week from the SMS send out date.
The delivery arrived at 11am, and they brought it into our main hallway which I appreciated as it can be tough with a toddler who has learned how to run.
Is Luxo Living furniture easy to assemble?
The Seneca bed base arrived in 2 boxes: 1 for the headboard, and 1 for the base.
The boxes were quite heavy, and large so I would recommend having someone else to help carry, and assemble the pieces.
It was relatively easy to assemble, and I believe it took us 30 minutes combined to unbox, and assemble the bed base as there was minimal assembly required.
What is the quality of Luxo Living furniture?
We love the Seneca bed base! It has a beautiful velvet upholstery on wooden base, and wooden legs.
We already own another bed base from Luxo Living in our Airbnb, and we regularly get questions from guests where it’s sourced from as they love the look.
